I hope you all had a great holiday season with your friends and families... If you're anything like me, you ate more than you should have and are feeling a bit heavier and more sluggish than before all the festivities. Trying to undo what you've done? You're not alone... This post is for you!

Ever had someone tell you that cardio is one of best ways to lose weight? Well here's a little something about cardio- yes, it helps you burn calories while you are actually moving, but it will do little to increase your metabolism once you stop. When you do weight or resistance training, you are building muscle that will help you burn more calories all day, every day. It may not burn as many calories in the short term, while you're actually doing the work, but think of it as an investment. It'll increase your metabolism, and if you keep your diet the same, you will see weight loss.

The perfect combo for weight loss? Cardio AND strength training! You will burn way more calories while exercising and also build muscle that will increase your metabolism for weeks to come!

Because the quads are one of the biggest muscle groups in the body, they have a greater opportunity to become a calorie burning powerhouse. I've created a 7 minute video that has cardio intervals sprinkled throughout muscle sculpting segments to get you moving and burning calories. All you need is a barre or countertop, etc., and your own music!
